Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great food and service, amazingly quiet for lunch. We had lasagna which was nice and rich, rocket salad was ok. My favourite dish is the fungi pasta, you will love it if you’re a truffle fan. Obviously parking is tricky, you can park either in Foodland car park to walk or back streets, Dan Murphy’s and Norwood hotel car park sometimes has spots too."
"As soon as you walk in you're greeted with a bizarre, pungent perfume smell that stays clawing at the nose all night. It masks the smell of any of the food, even as it's sat next to you on other diners' tables. The staff, especially Lukshna, are great and very accommodating, providing great service. My partner ordered the bolognese and said it was flavourful and exactly what he wanted when he ordered it. I ordered the gnocchi, and it was bland. It tasted like someone had described tomato to someone, then they plated it and sent it out. However, the texture of the gnocchi was great. The highlight of the night was the tirimisu tart."
"My wife and I had a lovely evening at 400 Gradi tonight. We were greeted by Carlos who graciously seated us as walk-ins and we were served by the very kind, calm and friendly Madeline. Our food was delicious and perfectly portioned (although more sausage on our pizza would have been appreciated to justify the price point). We would recommend this restaurant to our friends and we look forward to coming back. You will be well looked after."
"Enjoyed our pizza. Very saucy and flavorful. The mussels were quite average. Service was friendly."
"We've tried different pizzas and pastas every time, and not once have we been disappointed. The flavours are always spot on, and everything is consistently delicious."
"Absolutely exceptional food! Every dish felt like a true celebration of flavour, simplicity, and authenticity. From the very first bite, you could taste the freshness of the ingredients and the care that went into every detail. The Gnocchi was What truly stood out was how comforting yet refined everything felt. Each plate arrived beautifully presented, bursting with classic Italian warmth and soul. The service matched the food perfectly — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the dining experience. Sayla went above and beyond & was so caring! It wasn’t just a meal; it felt like an experience created with heart. If you love Italian cuisine done right — honest, delicious, and unforgettable — this place is an absolute must-visit. Already looking forward to coming back!"
"This was our first visit to Gradi Norwood and it did not disappoint! We didn’t have a reservation, and it was quite busy inside, but we only had a short wait of about 10 minutes before being seated. A big thank you to Garima and the team for being so helpful and looking after us, true hospitality like this isn’t easy to find. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the lively atmosphere showed they’re doing something really right, we had Pizza Truffle and Rigatoni Bolognese, both were exceptional, we had burratta as well which was a great recomendation. Can’t wait to come back!"
"I have dined in 400 Gradi at the Crown and after my experience there I was hesitant to try again. At Norwood Parade the atmosphere at this Italian restaurant was definitely the highlight of the visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Pappardelle Funghi E Tartufo, which is one of my favourite pastas to order at any Italian restaurant. The pappardelle was cooked beautifully however more truffle could of been incorporated in the dish as we could mainly taste cream. Oysters were not fresh which was disappointing. I would be open to trying again preferably on a weekend."
